Research interests
A reflection on current interests has crystallised Anne's research on the gaze, which spans: the ‘other’ and its representation; definitions for new possibilities in future bodies; empowerment through deconstructing those bodies and alternative (hi)stories; and explorations of technologies and how to think of a new, a revolutionary world through sci-fi narratives.
Exploring artistic practices and knowledge exchange through presentations, screenings and discussion, the independent nomadic platform: A---Z, which Anne runs, aims to open up to a large audience by sharing discursive practices in order to deconstruct preconceived ideas on race, gender identities and the so called history in terms of power relationship.
The methods employed by A---Z take the form of classic event but in terms of the deliver the outcome will be different – it will take place in unusual spaces for this kind of question but also it will take a turn where knowledge production happens – where thought provoking and engaged practices comes together to think through new ways of curating – and researching in event making.
