David Eveleigh-Evans

David is a recognised design leader and international award winning designer, with over 25 years of experience across brand, product and services for many of the world's most recognised brands.
With a passion for digital innovation and design craft he applies a strategic mindset with an entrepreneurial attitude to deliver value and growth.
David has worked for and led pioneering design agencies including Moving Brands, Method, Metadesign, Imagination and Ideo. Even though he sees himself as just a ‘designer’, David has been a Managing Director, Chief Creative Officer, Design Principal and Executive Creative Director. With a love of travel, David has lived in multiple countries and led design across time zones working with Google, Nike, Sonos, BBC, Microsoft, McDonalds, Skype, Samsung, Sky, Barclays, Audi, Ford and many others.
He has collaborated with many global corporations, new startups, scale ups and led moonshot innovation to drive change through design. Along the way he has won D&AD, Art Directors Club, AIGA, Red Dot, Cannes Lions, Creative Review and European Design awards. As well as judging the Adobe design awards and giving his time to the UNDP Digital X program.
David has founded four creative businesses including two design studios, a furniture brand and eco children’s wear label. Most recently Observe—Create a small studio he runs with his wife focused on research and strategy projects looking at design for living systems.
David graduated from the RCA in 1998 from the pioneering CRD course run by Gillian Crampton Smith, and is delighted to be back as a tutor.
