The Sacred Forest of Ethiopia
2019
The thousands of sacred church forests in the Amhara state in Ethiopia are enclaves of religious practices and ecological intensity, in the context of the rising pressure from intensive farming and deforestation. Ibiye Camp with Emmy Bacharach and David Killingsworth explored these unique places as a system of resistance.
