Research interests
Steven is currently undertaking a DPhil at the Ruskin School of Art, Oxford University that explores the social and anti-social nature of objects. He utilises interdisciplinary and unorthodox methods to try to apprehend the fugitive nature of our interface with ‘things’ and the mutual means by which artefacts relate.
Practice
Steven’s studio practice is closely linked to his research interests. His research acts as a motor to the speculative and interdisciplinary methods that he employs. The studio practice extends into collaborative work undertaken in various fields, such as particle physics and curatorial practice.
