Contemporary Art Summer School
Vasiliki Antonopoulou AKA Billy Klotsa is a GNC moving image artist exploring otherness and the emotional dynamics between individuals and architecture.
Klotsa was born in Greece, and raised in Saudi Arabia. She uses both 'he' and 'she' pronouns in an effort to render them meaningless. He has been a visiting lecturer at the RCA Contemporary Art Summer School since 2021 and has led crits and tutorials for the AAIS MFA at the Architectural Association and the MFA programme at Solent University since 2017.

Practice
Klotsa’s practice aims to push the boundaries of moving image as a medium by utilising different materialities such as the screen, and paper to host her outcomes. Her work challenges the binary format of rough versus sleek moving image, creating visual poems that occupy a space in between where displaced images reflect the notions he works with Key researchers that inform his practice include Catherine Malabou, Paul B. Preciado, Michel Foucault and Jacques Lacan.
Research Funding
In 2021 she received the National Lottery Project Grant from the Arts Council England for her narrative short film ‘In the Name of the Father'.
Current and recent projects
Klotsa is currently developing a narrative short film titled ‘Scaffold’ with LONO Productions.
