As Intellectual Property Manager for the College, Chrysi is responsible for administering the College's Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio and managing the IP support programme run by InnovationRCA. Her role includes disseminating awareness of IP through regular workshops and clinics, supporting students and staff with IP queries, and advising on patentability.

Chrysi joined the Royal College of Art from the University of Oxford where she managed a diverse IP portfolio of projects that included due diligence searches, rights clearance and negotiation of confidentiality and profit share agreements to facilitate exploitation by means of patent filing, licensing and spinout formation of intellectual property arising from research. 

She has held various roles in the higher education and not-for-profit sectors in the UK, including the University of Reading, the Constitution Unit at the University College of London and the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA), sitting on both sides of the fence between professional services and academic research. 

Chrysi is a lawyer by training with post-graduate studies at the University College London and the University of Edinburgh specialising on Intellectual Property Law, and focusing on how the law responds to, regulates, protects and promotes new and disruptive technologies, such as training and using deep neural networks in machine learning.
