Mirna is an architectural practitioner, researcher and scholar whose interests lie at the intersection of architecture, urban development, environmental issues, and finance in post-conflict societies.
Mirna trained as an architect in her native Bosnia and Herzegovina, and practiced architecture internationally for over a decade before focusing on academic and research work. In 2019, she received a PhD from the Centre for Research Architecture at Goldsmiths, University of London. That same year, Mirna was a recipient of the RIBA President’s Award for Research in the ‘Cities and Community’ category. She is an Associate Lecturer in Media Studies at the School of Architecture, RCA, and teaches across several universities in the UK. Mirna is also a founding member of DocomomoBH.
