
Tom is an artist and lecturer with specialisms in photography, performance and creative education.
Tom has worked with the MA Photography programme since 2016. In that time, he has been Lead Tutor for the end-of-year public exhibition.
Since 2021, Tom has also worked as a Tutor on the PGCert and MEd in Creative Education.
Outside of the RCA, Tom works as an External Examiner with positions at Glasgow School of Art (2019–24) and Goldsmiths, University of London (2023 – present). He is currently completing doctoral research at Westminster University with a focus on contemporary photography and performance methodologies.

Research interests
Research methodologies and areas of interest include phenomenology, performance, histories of photography and material matters.
Practice
Tom had a curatorial practice with a focus on performance, the body and contemporary photography. Tom is on the board of Peckham24, an annual London photography festival, where he has curated numerous group exhibitions.
