Practice
VILAA is an international architectural practice led by Vidhya Pushpanathan and Lara Yegenoglu specialising in a contemporary way of designing for specific cultural contexts. With a primary focus on social values, collective quality, and community, their projects aim to address the subconscious emotional impact and individual experience of the built environment.
Simplicity and elegance combined with a mixture of carefully chosen materials allow them to design intricate Architecture that responds to each individual context and adapts to the requirements of constantly evolving cultures. Inspired by vernacular techniques and elements, their work is fundamentally driven by the sustainable and innovative use of materials.
