Students from MA Architecture present a selection of work in progress.
Meet the architects and designers of the future as their newest work comes together, and take a peek behind the doors of the world's #1 university for art and design
The research and experiments on display reveal a profound engagement with the urgent ecological and material realities of our time. You’ll find projects exploring the deep ocean (ADS13), the nature of the 'wild' (ADS9), and how we deal with pollution in our water and soil (ADS11). Students are looking at how we coexist with animals in industrial ruins (ADS3), how we survive in damaged worlds (ADS2), and even how we face the end of things (ADS4).
The work reimagines how we live and build. You’ll see ideas for new types of housing (ADS1) and better ways to use materials (ADS6). Some students mix architecture with performance (ADS0) or sport (ADS8), while others explore the unexpected through 'follies' (ADS5) or the concept of the journey (ADS7). From the economics of sharing (ADS10) to the sensory atmosphere of our homes (ADS12), these projects challenge how we see the world.
