The Humanising Technology studio explores how mobility experiences and services will be transformed by the impact of rapidly developed emerging technologies and how these can be optimised by leveraging creative methods.

Humanising Technology

Research undertaken by the Humanising Technology studio includes:

  • Creating adaptive and/or novel mobility products and service designs based on fully understanding user behaviours and cultural contexts.
  • Exploring inclusive design approaches and design research methodologies in the context of moving new technologies and concepts forward to meet the needs of the entire population.
  • Incorporating creative methods into developing mobility technologies with science, engineering and humanities partners to realise mobility solutions in the real world 
  • Early adoption and user case studies for new mobility solutions to provide feedback for emerging technologies and concepts to aid further development.

Hyundai Kia Innovation Laboratory

Launched in 2016, the Hyundai Kia Innovation Laboratory is one of the first industry funded innovation labs at the Intelligent Mobility Design Centre (IMDC). Hyundai Motor Group and its Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis brands has partnered with IMDC to foster the creative exploration of the future of mobility.
