Trust and Emotional Engagement for Hybrid Agents
Firstly focusing on text modality, this research proposes a new concept, hybrid agents, who are conversational intelligent agents that are both functional in virtual environments(especially games) and real-world technologies.
With the virtual world providing persona, stories and target-oriented interactions, users may develop more trust and accurate expectations towards the agent.
On the other hand, as social agents on daily communication platforms and software, hybrid agents may develop social relationships with users and other agents — these may make their behaviours closer to real humans, and improve player experience in games.
