Tuition Fee invoice

You will receive an email when your Tuition fee invoice has been generated, you can then view your invoice in the Applicant Portal.

If you have not received your invoice by 1 July 2026, please check the Applicant Portal, in case you need to provide any further information.

We appreciate your patience while we complete the Tuition fee processing. The majority of the invoices will be issued by 1 July 2026, please do not contact us regarding your invoice before this date.

Offer Holders who have accepted their offer after 1 July 2026 will receive their invoice as soon as possible.

For further information on paying your fees, please see our Paying your fees section.

RCA Scholarships and external sponsorships

If you have been awarded an RCA Scholarship in support of tuition fees you will not see that sum reflected on the invoice. However, any fee amounts covered will be added and reflected on the RCA Student Portal as soon as possible.

Until the portal is updated, please deduct any fees awarded from the total invoice amount owing when making your payment.

If your funding is being provided by an external sponsorship (by which we mean an agreement between you and your sponsor, not between the sponsor and the RCA, which might include an external scholarship, bursary or company sponsorship) please follow the Pre-enrolment instructions below and in the Applicant Portal for how to declare this.

Pre-enrolment instructions

You will receive an email when Pre-enrolment is available for you to complete on the Applicant Portal. As part of Pre-enrolment you will be asked to:

  • Confirm your funding status
  • Pay your required fees (50% for MA, MArch, MDes, MEd, MFA, MRes, MPhil and PhD, 100% for Graduate Diploma)
  • Inform the College of a Disability if you wish to do so
  • Provide supporting documentation including:
    • a recent passport style photo
    • an updated copy of your passport
    • your most recent Degree certificate
    • your Share Code (if applicable)
  • Read and accept the College’s declaration, which includes Terms and Conditions and Academic Regulations
  • Provide your Emergency Contact details
  • Provide a term-time address
  • Provide your Boarding Pass and Proof of Entry to the UK (if required)

Please note: completing Pre-enrolment does not mean that you are fully enrolled. We will contact you if we require any further information, and you will receive email confirmation once your enrolment has been reviewed and completed.

Upload a passport-style photo

When uploading your photo, please keep in mind that we can only accept photos that meet standard passport-style photo requirements. If a submitted photo doesn't meet the passport-style criteria, it will lead to a delay in getting your Student ID printed. If you're unsure what a passport photo looks like, you can find some helpful examples of acceptable/non-acceptable photos on the GOV.UK website.

If you think the photo you uploaded during Pre-enrolment does not meet the requirements, you can upload a new passport-style photo via this link.

Term-time address

If you do not have a term-time address yet do not worry. Just enter your current home address for now. If you already have a temporary address in London, you can use that instead.

You’ll be able to update your details at any time once your term-time address is confirmed. You will not be able to access your Student Status Letter unless you have provided an up to date term-time address.

What happens after you have submitted your Pre-enrolment information?

Once you have met the tuition fee payment conditions outlined on your invoice and completed Pre-enrolment, the RCA will be able to begin enrolling you from the week commencing 3 August 2026.

You will receive an email to confirm whether you are temporarily enrolled or fully enrolled. Please do not worry if you are temporarily enrolled, the email will explain what you need to do to become fully enrolled.

Temporarily enrolled

Students may be temporarily enrolled if they:

  • Have paid their tuition fees or at least 50% (or the RCA has received proof of funding).
  • Have completed Pre-enrolment.
  • Still need to submit proof of entry into the UK (e.g. a boarding pass or travel itinerary).

Temporary enrolment is valid for a limited period. Students must complete full enrolment by 16 October 2026. If the required proof of entry into the UK is not submitted by the agreed deadline, temporary enrolment will be withdrawn and access to all RCA services will cease.

Students who are temporarily enrolled:

  • Will have temporary access to RCA services and their academic programme.
  • Will not receive a Student Status Letter until they have completed full enrolment.
  • Will receive confirmation of their temporary enrolment via their RCA email account, along with clear instructions on the next steps and any outstanding requirements.

Fully enrolled

Students will be fully enrolled once they:

  • Have paid their tuition fees in full, or at least 50% of their fees (or the RCA has received proof of funding).
  • Have completed Pre-enrolment
  • Have provided all necessary documentation

Students who are fully enrolled:

  • Will receive confirmation of their enrolment via their RCA email account.
  • Have full access to RCA services and their academic programme.
  • Are able to download their Student Status Letter

Your RCA email address

From the beginning of August, we will start sending you instructions on how to register your RCA email account. Incoming students will receive these at different times, so please don't worry if a friend gets theirs before you do.

During your first week

Once you are fully or temporarily enrolled, in your first week of term you’ll get access to:

  • Your Student ID card (if you have uploaded a passport-style photo)
  • The RCA campus
  • Your academic materials
  • The RCA Library and services
  • Technical support and workshops
  • The College’s full suite of online resources including RCA Moodle and the Student Journey course which will introduce you to life at the RCA
  • Your timetable on Moodle (please note you won’t see your programme specific content just yet)
