Fudan Masterclass, McLaren Senna GTR 2019 © Adam Hollingworth Photography

Custom executive education course developed for Fudan EMBA, School of Management.

Fudan University worked with the RCA to devise a two-day masterclass called Disruptive Global Innovation led by Professor of Design Innovation Ashley Hall and Dr Laura Ferrarello.

The course was designed as a core module for current students studying in the Executive MBA. 33 senior-level executives from companies such as L’Oreal, YSL Cosmetics, China Mobile, Leo Burnett Shanghai and Ivy Capital, took part in a series of tailored workshops and lectures that referenced to real-world projects, experiences and case studies.

Course structure

The course included an exclusive curator-led tour at the London Design Museum and keynote lectures from RCA alumni Daniela Paredes Fuentes, Co-Founder & Director at Gravity Sketch and Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez Co-Founder & Co-CEO Notpla, demonstrating concrete innovation case studies emerging from the RCA.

The masterclass exposed participants to an immersive experience, which culminated in the presentation of the McLaren Senna GTR sports car at the RCA Kensington campus. Esteban Palazzo, Principal Designer at McLaren Automotive gave a talk about his unique insights into design, innovation and technology at McLaren.

We have run similar courses for the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Polytechnic and in collaboration with Imperial College London for various universities in China.
